Two techniques are used :
1- One by one.
This is the most advised technique.
XXLLashes Eyelash Extensions are the most natural, the safest and the most hygienic. These extensions can last up to 4 to 8 weeks,
depending on the life-cycle of your own lashes (60-90 days) and on the care given to your extensions. Your eyes will need to be closed and
protected during the process. 30 to 50 lashes will be glued by eye.
XXLLashes Eyelash Extensions are weightless and water-resistant, they allow you to exercise, swim, shower, sleep and even cry.
Each lash is naturally shaped with a delicate curl, a thickener base and a thiner end.
Touch ups are necessary every 3 weeks. They need less time than for the first application and are then less expensive.
Thanks to the thickness, the bending and the color of the extension, you can have either a very natural effect or a sophisticated one.
2- 2- The bunch of eyelashes.
The final result is more garnished, more sophisticated and more glamourous ("bimbo" effect), perfect for a party or for holidays. 12 to
16 bunches will be glued by the professional on each eye.
Since this is a faster process, it is less expensive. These extensions can last up to 2 to 4 weeks.
Swaroski strass can be added for a more glittered effect.
What should you do before your lash appointment ?
- Remove all eye make-up and clean your lashes with mild, oil free cleanser. If you use an oil based make-up remover, your eyelashes
extensions won't stay! We don't want to spend time cleaning your lashes. We'd rather spend time working on perfecting your lashes.
- Please remove contact lenses prior to your appointment.
- If you have light-colored lashes, it is better to have them colored before.
- Plan to set aside up to 2 hours for your appointment. Bring your own iPod if you like.
After-care recommendations ?
- Prevent your lashes from water for the first 12 hours after treatment.
- For 48 hours after treament prevent your lashes from steam and hot water.
- An occasional short visit to the sauna is fine, but high temperature on a daily basis may cause earlier maintenance as the lashes could
prematurely fall off or tilt in a different direction from your natural lash.
- Oily or combination skins, as well as hormones can cause the fall off of your lashes and your extensions.
- Although mascara is no longer needed, you can use it sometimes. We recommend to apply it only on the tips, not at the base. Application at
the lash base may break the lash and/or create a clump of mascara in your lash line. Do not use waterproof mascara and oil based make-up remover!
It is safer to use water based mascara and to remove it only with cold water or with oil-free eye make-up remover by slightly tapping with cotton.
Dry them with a tissue. Once your extensions are dry (10 minutes) you can softly comb them.
- Do not pull or pick at your lashes. Be careful while washing your head. As the users aren't used to it the first time, they may lose more than normal.
- The daily application of the adhesive flexible is necessary to protect, to keep their elasticity and to extend their life cycle. This product
can be bought at your professional's.
- Use a eye outline-gel rather than a cream.
- Never use a lash curler and never color your lashes. You may have your lashes permed prior to the application (min. 10 days before)
if you want a more spectacular effect.
3- The eyelashes perm
For those who want a natural result and who do not want to go with eyelashes extension, we do have a technique to curl your lashes in 45 minutes. You will then be at your ease for 2 months.
The eyelashes perm will open and deepen your look.
This technique is harmless for your lashes. A curler will be put at the base of the lash; then a product will fix the lashes to make
them have a nice curling. Do not have them tinted in the 48 hours after the perm.
